SMT Manager

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: From £40-45,000

We are seeking a highly motivated Team Leader / Manager to oversee SMT lines and machine technicians

This team plays a crucial role in assembling and delivering complex, high-value electronic products used in various industries including Aerospace, Defence, Medical Devices and Manufacturing

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience within an Electronics Manufacturing environment, ideally within SMT
• Experience of setting, running and operating a range of SMT machines
• Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, industry standards and regulations.
• Experience in a high-technology environment.
• Customer-facing experience, representing the company during high-paced development.
  

Team Leadership / Management:

• Manage a team of SMT operators, programmers and engineers, with contractors added on a temporary basis as and when needed
• Act as a technical lead on specific projects.
• Allocate resources and forecast resource and capability requirements for projects.
• Provide input into planning, resource forecasting, and priority setting.
  

Technical Expertise:

• Lead and deliver activities and plans across the SMT lines, ensuring products are delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, and to specification.
• Supervise and support the operators in the teams
• Follow and communicate test procedures, processes, and technical documentation.
